We experienced several rain delays in the starting of our latest home build, but when the sun came out, we were off to a fantastic start!  Averaging 20 volunteers on each Saturday, this team of volunteers has exceeded all expectations.  On the first day, all exterior framing was completed & walls were raised, which led right into the interior walls being constructed and raised on Day 2.  Our third volunteer day all exterior sheathing was completed and the house truly took shape.  The front door was cut out and the feeling of home started setting in.  The fourth day was full of excitement as the windows were opened and prepped and the front porch beams were set. This was all accomplished during the month of June!  We’re now ready to let the professionals do their thing and set the trusses and prep the roof.  We may be taking a short break from volunteer build days, but we’ll be back building soon!
