What is a Habitat ReStore
Habitat ReStores are nonprofit home improvement stores and donation centers. The items they sell are available to the public and similar to what you may see in other home goods stores, such as a brand new box of tile you’ve been needing for your bathroom project or a vintage treasure you won’t find anywhere else. However, Habitat ReStores are more than just resell stores.
The purpose of Habitat ReStores is to contribute to the work of Habitat for Humanity. When you support Blue Ridge, GA’s ReStore by shopping, donating, and/or volunteering, you are not only supporting your local community, you’re also helping the mission to provide decent shelter to everyone around the world.
A good deal for you, your community & the environment
Located in beautiful Blue Ridge, GA, ReStore is independently-owned and operated by Habitat for Humanity of Fannin & Gilmer Counties, Inc. It’s offered new and gently used furniture, appliances, home goods, building materials and more since 2008.
By shopping, donating and volunteering at Habitat ReStore, you are part of a movement dedicated to ensuring that everyone has a decent place to live. Helping your community has never been so easy!
Shop
Every purchase is helping fund Habitat’s mission.
With our constantly changing inventory, prices well below retail, frequent markdowns and one-of-a-kind items, you’re sure to find something you just can’t live without. Make sure to stop by often. If you miss a day, you just might miss a deal!
Donate
Remodeling, cleaning out, downsizing or just getting organized? Consider donating your excess household goods and building materials to the Habitat ReStore. You’ll get the satisfaction of knowing your donations helped support local families — and didn’t end up in the landfill. And all of your donations are tax-deductible. For businesses, donating to the ReStore is a great way to move discontinued or excess stock, deal with gently used returns, and show your customers that you care about the environment and your community. Plus, we’ll pick up your donated goods, which saves you time and money.
Volunteer
Habitat ReStore depends on enthusiastic volunteers for everything from helping customers to arranging merchandise. Whether you enjoy interacting with the public or prefer working behind the scenes, chances are that we have a volunteer opportunity for you. Habitat for Humanity volunteers — both on construction sites and in ReStores — have helped more than 9.8 million people realize the dream of owning a decent, affordable home.
Service Work
We thank you for choosing ReStore to complete your service work hours. Community Service is a way to give back to your community, all while supporting the organizations that serve it. ReStore is not in the business of judging others. You can be confident the details of your case will be kept confidential, and your hours recorded in a professional manner. Once complete, we will issue a letter to whomever you request.
Please note that you may not walk-in and begin working. Like everything, there is a process to begin your journey to completing mandated hours. Our team will meet with you, and after a brief, free training, create a schedule that will benefit both you and Habitat for Humanity’s ReStore.
